This project is based upon lessons I have learned from my grandpas. I hold so much respect for my grandmas as well, but they deserve a separate piece.
Persistence, for the one who was always hard-working.
Passion, for Poppy, the one who always knew how to celebrate history while pushing for a better future.
Embracement, for the one I met late in life.

This drawing is so apropo for our times! The poppies are lovely, on their own or with the words. I will look at this drawing to remind myself about these basic needs to move through life.
